Exactly how this site makes money
Where we do earn
These are affiliate links. If you buy through one, the seller pays us a commission and your price is unchanged.
Every category we earn from, and what it covers.
| Category | What it covers | Appears in |
|---|---|---|
| Accommodation | Hotels and serviced apartments in Seoul | Planning and recovery pages |
| Flights | Fare search and booking | Planning pages |
| Connectivity | SIM cards, eSIMs, portable wifi | Booking and logistics pages |
| Travel insurance | General travel cover | Planning pages |
| Aftercare products | Sunscreen, cleansers, barrier creams | Recovery and aftercare pages |
Categories as of August 2026. This table is updated when a category is added or dropped.
Where we earn nothing
This half of the page matters more than the half above.
- We earn nothing from any clinic, treatment, or booking of a procedure. No commission, no referral fee, no finder’s fee, no consultation fee, no revenue share.
- We take no paid placement. A clinic cannot buy a mention, a position, a link, or a removal.
- We take no gifted or discounted procedures in exchange for coverage, and we do not accept clinic-supplied photography.
- We do not sell your email address. The checklist list is used to send the checklist and update notices, and nothing else.
The rule that makes the links safe to read
Affiliate links never change our conclusions. When a product isn’t worth buying, we say so.
In practice that means three things you can check on any page here. A commercial page states what you do not need before it states what you might. A category is introduced at the point in the argument where it becomes relevant, never as a numbered list of “best” items. And no page carries more than three affiliate links, so no page can quietly become a storefront.
Pages aimed at readers who have not yet decided whether to travel carry no affiliate links at all. If we are helping you decide whether to spend thousands on a trip, we should not also be earning on the outcome.
How to tell, on any given page
Any page containing affiliate links says so at the top, before the first paragraph of the article, not in a footer. If you do not see that line, the page has none.
If you would rather not
Nothing here requires you to use our links. Every product category we discuss is described by its selection criteria, so you can take the criteria and buy anywhere — that is the intended use.
